Azar Design Co is seeking resumes for Construction Inspector, Resident Engineer - NICET IV and a Construction Inspector - NICET II/III, to work on bridge projects located in the town of Crown Point and the Hamlet of Port Henry, NY. These projects are combined and scheduled to be completed by December 2026.  Crown Point is a Superstructure Replacement and Port Henry is a Bridge Replacement. The construction inspector should have a minimum 10 years of experience in inspection of heavy highways and bridges. The NICET II/III should have a minimum 5 years’ experience. The Resident Engineer will perform all activities necessary to start, continue and close-out this project.

The Inspectors will provide field inspections and ensure work follows drawings, specifications, and construction control documents. Inspection will follow MURK format using APPIA or similar reporting software. Resident Engineer will conduct progress meetings, create an agenda, minutes including editing and distribution.

Additional responsibilities:

• Log and manage project submittals, RFI’s and correspondence

• Creates Monthly Progress Payments and Create Contract Change Orders

• Accurately track contract change orders, material inspections, certifications and additional documentation

• Knowledge of NYSDOT material methods, schedule and performs oversight of material testing

• Assure general compliance with DOT and other agency standards and specifications

• Communicate with residents and local business owners

• Assure compliance with NYSDOL and Federal Regulations on utilization

• Project close-out, including red-lined as-built drawing certification

• Other duties as needed

Rate Range depending on experience: Level II = $43.00,  Level III = $52.00, Level IV = $60.00
