Azar Design Co is seeking a Land Survey Crew Chief with a minimum of five years of field experience in Topographic, ROW, ALTA, and construction surveys. Our workoad includes prevailing wage assignments! Experience with New York State Department of  Transportation Land Surveying Standards a plus. Some travel throughout New York State may be required.

Responsibilities:

Perform survey work involving boundary, topographic, utility, construction, laser scanning, GPS, and other surveys.

Collect field data using total station, GPS receivers, high definition laser scanners, digital levels, etc.

Instruct, manage, and direct Instrument Operator.

Verify the accuracy of measurements taken by your crew; keep accurate records, notes, and sketches of the work performed.

Daily coordination with Project Manager, Field Crew and CADD Technicians.

Post-processing of field data.

Performing office calculations for land surveying projects and checking of field data accuracy.

Requirements:

Knowledge of Data Collectors & Total Stations.

Willingness and ability to travel routinely, including overnight stays.

Leadership skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Valid driver’s license.

OSHA 10-Hour Construction Health and Safety training is a plus.

Preferred:

Experience with Laser Scanning is a plus.

Experience with Carlson / AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation V8i with Bentley InRoads is a plus.

Use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.

Pay range: $30.00-$45.00 per hour depending on relevant experience. Some assignments are paid prevailing wage.
